UNPRESCRIBED is a self-funded, Veteran-produced documentary that offers a practical solution for treating trauma and reducing Veteran suicide. Combined with expert panels, UNPRESCRIBED provides a conversation starter for engaging audiences and putting minds at ease regarding plant-based medicine.

UNPRESCRIBED The Movie
UNPRESCRIBED conveys the stories of Veterans overcoming trauma through plant medicine.
Filming began in 2018 at the height of the opioid crisis when Veterans were committing suicide at the rate of 22 per day. Today that number is closer to 17, which is still too many. While we're doing better with drug management, many Veterans are still prescribed a myriad of drugs that can be replaced by plant-medicine. Today, 40 out of 50 states have a medical program, yet it still remains illegal at the federal level, even with recent rescheduling.

Screening fees are based on organization type and audience size. (1-50 people) veteran and nonprofit organizations $250.00 / all other $500; (50-100) veteran/nonprofit $500 / all other $750; (100-500) veteran/nonprofit $1000 / all other $1500. Upgrade for larger audience or multiple screenings available. Submit requests to info@theunprescribed.org.
